Famous for her modeling work for Marc Jacobs and Michael Michalsky, this Bosnian-born-Australian transgender woman underwent sex reassignment surgery in 2014. The following year, she became Vogue magazine's first featured transgender model.

When she was eight years old, Pejic immigrated with her family to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
