Chandra Shekhar Azad, born on July 23, 1906, in the town of Bhavra, located in the present-day Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh, India, was a renowned Indian revolutionary and politician. He is widely recognized for his pivotal role in organizing the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association and his fierce dedication to the Indian independence movement.

From an early age, Chandra Shekhar Azad exhibited profound leadership qualities and an unwavering commitment to the cause of Indian freedom. After the assassination of its leaders, Ram Prasad Bismil and Ashfaqulla Khan, Azad fearlessly took charge, reorganizing the group under the new name, the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA).
