Fidel Castro, a name synonymous with revolution and power, was an iconic figure in the history of Cuba and the world. Born on August 13, 1926, in Birán, Oriente Province, Cuba, Castro was a Cuban nationalist, politician, and statesman who played a fundamental role in shaping the course of his country's history.

Castro hailed from a relatively prosperous family, but his upbringing was far from privileged. His father insisted that he grow up amidst the impoverished laborers on their farm, fostering in him a deep understanding of the misfortunes and struggles faced by the less fortunate.
