About Frits Peutz
Dutch architect whose Glaspaleis building was proclaimed one of the world's 1000 most important buildings of the 20th century. His extremely personalized style first saw fruition in the 1926 Palais des Nations project in Geneva and reached its peak in the Town Hall of Heerlen.
Before Fame
He began as a civil-engineering student in Delft, but eventually switched to architecture. He was an independent architect for a time in the coal-mining town of Heerlen. He received his degree in architecture in 1925.
