Henri Lefebvre

Henri Lefebvre, born on June 16, 1901, in Hagetmau, France, was a famous philosopher who pioneered the criticism of everyday life and introduced the concepts of the right to the city and the production of social space. Lefebvre's extensive research work and critical thinking made him one of the most important philosophers of the 20th century.

Lefebvre was educated at the University of Paris, where he studied philosophy. Later, he worked with several great minds like Norbert Guterman, Georges Friedmann, and Georges Politzer in the Philosophies group, which tried to create a philosophical revolution by 1924.

Lefebvre was known for his vast repertoire of work, including over 60 books and 300 articles. His extensive research and study of dialectics and alienation, his staunch criticism of Stalinism and structuralism, and his passion for spreading the ideas of Karl Marx earned him immense respect in the philosophy world.
