Nigar Rafibeyli is a name synonymous with literary brilliance and artistic finesse. She was an Azerbaijani poet, short story writer, and translator par excellence, whose works continue to inspire generations of writers and poets worldwide.

Born on December 15th, 1913, in Baku, Azerbaijan, Nigar Rafibeyli was the daughter of two renowned surgeons. She grew up in an affluent family and received a good education. Her love for literature developed at an early age, and she began writing poetry while attending the Pedagogical Technical School.

Nigar Rafibeyli published her first poem, "Chadra," in 1928, which received immense praise from literary circles. She continued to produce groundbreaking works of poetry and prose throughout her illustrious career, exploring themes of romanticism, motherhood, and nature.
