Sammy Cahn

Sammy Cahn, a renowned American songwriter, is recognized as one of the greatest lyricists of all time. Born in New York City on June 18, 1913, he grew up in a Jewish family with roots in Russia and Austria-Hungary. Cahn's father owned a liquor store, and his mother was a piano teacher.
